The logo uses five shapes to make WB (Well-Being) appear.
The colours are the colours of the five faculties of Hirosaki University: Faculty of Science and Technology: Blue, Faculty of Education: Orange, Faculty of Medicine: Red, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences: Green, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences: Purple.
The five shapes can also be imagined the five senses – sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch, as well as the Five continents – Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and America.
The five shapes can also incorporate images as windows.
